Form Teacher Guidance Period

Dedicated time for form teachers and pupils to bond and build key social and emotional skills, from self-awareness to responsible decision-making.

As part of the total curriculum, the FTGP and CCE (MTL) is dedicated curriculum time designed for form teacher(s) and teachers conducting CCE (MTL) to engage and build relationships with students through discussions and the use of effective classroom strategies.

The lessons are used to:

  1. explicitly teach values, and social and emotional skills which develop self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship management and responsible decision making.

  2. equip students with knowledge and skills to better understand and navigate the real world; and

  3. provide opportunities for contribution to family, school and community through Values in Action (VIA) efforts.
