Values in Action
Discover how ACS(P) pupils grow into responsible citizens by applying values in real-life settings. The VIA programme engages students across family, school, and community domains.
Values in Action
Values In Action (VIA) aims to develop students as socially responsible citizens, by guiding them to contribute meaningfully to the community, take greater ownership of how they do so, and reflect on their experiences to internalise their learning of values and skills.
At ACS(P), students participate in age-appropriate Values-in-Action activities that are thoughtfully contextualized across three broad domains:
• Self/Family;
• Peer/School and;
• Community/Nation/World
These activities are designed to nurture the traits and dispositions of our desired outcomes, especially Active Contributors and Servant Leaders, and to impart our school's iHOPEFUL values as students serve others.
After completing their VIA activities, students are guided to reflect on their experiences, considering the values they have developed and the qualities they have demonstrated as Active Contributors and Servant Leaders.

Pupils have the opportunity to put in practice the iHOPEFUL values that they have learnt as they interact with the world around them, and act with consideration of the consequences of their actions on themselves and others.
After completing the VIA activities, pupils will reflect on their experiences to think of the values they have developed as well as the desired outcomes of an ACSian they have displayed as an Active Contributor, Creative Collaborator, Servant Leader or Passionate Learner.
Staff VIA
Our staff have dedicated their personal time to volunteer with various organisations, demonstrating their commitment to community service. These valuable opportunities allow for our staff to exemplify the iHOPEFUL values and embody the Desired Outcomes we expect to see our ACSians display.
